A Tour of the Games:
Young's Pub
Young's Pub live music schedule
It's the gathering place, watering hole, and live music venue of the Wisconsin Highland Games. Come raise a toast, enjoy a pint, tell some tall tales
(and hear some, too), and enjoy the Celtic music while you rub elbows with some genuine characters of the Scottish sort!
The pub offers beers and ales ranging from the light to the heavy, a variety of wines, mixed drinks, and since this is a Scottish event, no shortage of Scotch whiskeys, including single malt Highland varieties for those with discerning tastes.
Live music commences in the late morning at Young's Pub Tent, and continues until closing time at night. You'll hear a full variety of today's Celtic music sounds like Scottish rebel ballads, pub rock, traditional Irish, Celtic rock, and Irish folksongs. You never know when a "kilt line" will form up in front of the stage, with kilted folks arm in arm doing the "swish" – a toss of the kilt to each side in careful rhythm!
You also never know when some Scottish Highland dancers will show up to do their leaps and spins to the band, or when some pipers and drummers will drop by in between bands to play a strathspey or march.
